Top 5 tips for young athletes' diets.

One of the biggest questions we get at p1440 is about nutrition and what athletes should eat around their performance.  Kerri’s trainer of 20+ years offers these tips to young athletes. Tommy’s top tips for keeping it simple:

  1. Divide and plan 3 to 5 meals a day.
  2. Make sure all your meals have equal and amply protein component.
  3. If you are getting hungry between meals you are not getting enough protein.
  4. If you need a treat, make sure to pair with a protein to manage sugar spikes.
  5. Replace sweet drinks with water.
