A little bit about Sally
I just turned 15 years old, born and raised in Apex, North Carolina. I attend Middle Creek High School as a sophomore currently and just finished up my varsity volleyball season there.
I play at Sinjin Beach Volleyball Club on the select team with some of my best friends. I love traveling for tournaments and just for fun. I love art and playing any type of sport with my family and friends.
More about Sally
How would you describe yourself in 3 words:
Four fabulous questions…
How would you change the world?
I want to motivate this world through the youth and continue to encourage youth sports. For me as a kid sports helps in so many aspects of my life and teaches me so much. I also see as a kid how no sports hurt some kids and wish they had the opportunity to compete the way I have been able to up to this point. I want to find ways to give every kid the chance to fall in love with a sport and let it be their outlet.
What’s your superpower?
I'd say my superpower or my best quality is either my physicality or my ability to control my emotions and stay calm/thrive under pressure.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve received?
I have not actually physically received this advice from this person however I have heard her say it in a podcast that has stuck with me. I once heard Kelly Claes say that she goes into every tournament knowing she can win it. No matter who she sees signed up or who she is up against first, she knows she always has a chance to win and that is the strongest thought in her mind.
How would you like to be remembered?
I want to be known as the easiest player on the beach to play with. I think in beach volleyball that is the best compliment someone can get, is if they are easy to play with. This means in every aspect of them game. This means your personality is easy to jibe with, you are a good setter, you are a good stratigizer, ect.
