BEST DEFENSIVE PLAYER
Well, here she goes again! Skylar Martin has the uncanny ability to see the game develop in front of her like a 40 year old veteran and just be in the right spot. Add her quickness and her precision point accuracy on everything she touches and you have a problem if you are an offensive player playing against her. Skylar still has another year before she attends LSU where she will immediately be one of the program’s best defenders that you can bank on!

MVP
Alexis Durish was a sideout billboard on the Futures Tour this season. She sided out at such a high percentage all season that basically if you served her, you lost the game. Alexis paired her potent offensive game with impressive defense behind the block, as well as having a strong blocking net presence. Add all this together and you can see why Alexis was hard to beat and the most valuable player on the tour this season. Alexis will contribute at FSU the moment she steps on campus.

BEST BLOCKER
Sally Perez
Sally is a generational juniors talent. At 6’2”, Sally makes hitters change their game plan from the first serve. The crazy thing about Sally is that she is already dominant at 15 years old and is just beginning to understand the strategic technical blocking game within the game. Sally’s ability to set her partners in transition with “money hands” is the icing on the cake and makes her the most dominant net player on the Futures Tour without a doubt. Stein Metzger and UCLA are getting a future game changer with Sally on the next level!
KERRI WALSH JENNINGS AWARD OF MERIT
This award goes to the most put together and joyful player, person, partner and human being, as Kerri would say, on the beach. Kaileigh Truslow was that person on the Futures Tour this season who exemplified all these qualities. Kaileigh is an absolute baller winning multiple Futures events this year with multiple partners and is committed to attend Florida State University. That alone is impressive, but it does not stop there. Kaileigh is supportive of others on and off the court and leads very much by example, embracing the positivity of grinding it out to achieve and always willing to reach back and help another player or a coach needing some assistance. If the Juniors beach community continues to be a part of growing impressive young ladies like Kaileigh, the world is going to be a better place for us all.

BEST OFFENSIVE PLAYER
Sally Perez
Sally's plays are so high above the net that she has always hit the !!!! out of the ball. This year Sally perfected her angle power swing with thumbs down, wrist action that lands the ball with heat inside the ten foot line and one foot from the sideline. If you add her fast and "very high" line shot over the block, she effectively has spread the court as far as possible from sideline to sideline making her virtually unstoppable when she is in system. This kid is just gifted!
Kennedy Coakley
BEST SERVER
Kennedy Coakley is this year's best server. Her serve comes down hill with pace and precision getting on you very quickly. A serve that can control a game by keeping the opponent out of system and nervous about passing is a big deal! That is the state Kennedy puts opponents in which landed her some great results on the 2022 Futures Tour. I also think that this kid is the most improved player in 2022. Hard work pays off, and Kennedy will attend UCLA in 2024.
